Warehouse Audio Assistants Wanted!
JPJ Audio, one of Australia’s leading professional audio production companies, is seeking staff to join our Warehouse team based in Homebush, NSW.
Starting at JPJ as a Warehouse Audio Assistant provides individuals the opportunity to work full time in the pro audio industry, while receiving both on-the-job instruction and in-house training from seasoned professionals.
These roles are a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for sound technology and/or experience in the set up and operation of audio equipment.
What’s On Offer?
In the first year with JPJ, successful applicants will assist with the preparing, loading/unloading audio equipment in the Homebush warehouse, as well as spending some time in the field assisting Audio Technicians set up and pack down equipment. Other duties include checking in/out equipment, prepping/building touring systems, and delivery/pickup of equipment to various sites around Sydney. By the end of the first year, employees in this role will have gained a thorough understanding of the nature of the live entertainment industry and JPJ’s particular internal practices.
On-the-job training will include inventory processes, principles of equipment usage, and warehouse logistics. Formal in-house training covers the fundamentals of Power and Rigging, and relevant safe work practices.
This position has the potential to progress to various roles within the company, such as touring, warehouse operations, and logistics.
Skills & Experience
In order to thrive in this critical role in the Team, the following values are desired for any candidate.
- Knowledge of/or experience in; professional audio equipment and/or the production of sound for live events, either in theatre, or the concert touring industry, and/or international events; AND/OR currently undertaking a course in Audio Production, or related discipline.
- Ability to work efficiently within a team environment and with minimum supervision.
- Must have Class C (car) driver’s licence.
- Forklift Licence and Qualification in WHS (white card) is desirable but not mandatory.
